Father's Words

Father’s Words

The tattoo is a phrase in Russian which translates roughly to “righteous fury”, a modification of a moral lesson my father told myself and my brothers when we were young (“if you’re going to be angry, at least be sure you’re angry about the right thing”).

It took approximately 45 minutes and didn’t hurt very much at all, though my pain tolerance is somewhat disproportionately high as compared to the norm.

I got it done in the summer of 2009 at Shogun Tattoo in Los Angeles (unfortunately I no longer have the name of the artist, but I highly recommend the entire staff).

Pierre Reply:

I like the idea of having a life lesson from your father on you back.
