A WATCHDOG has issued a warning about dangerous black henna tattoo
ink Tattoo inks are pigments used in tattooing. Tattoo inks consist of a pigment and a carrier (see below).
Tattoo inks are available in a range of colours which can then be thinned or mixed together to produce other colours and shades. .
Corrosive chemicals are being used in black henna ink, which is
causing damage to the skin.
Now, West Yorkshire Trading Standards (WYTSS) is warning people
only to use orange-red natural henna, as the darker-henna alternative
contains corrosive chemicals such as Phenol phenol
